LOS ANGELES, February 1, 2006 – Travelers with SITA World Tours will have the opportunity this November to embark on a fascinating 12-day tour of India. They will be offered the hospitality of SITA’s highly experienced staff and an itinerary packaged with daily spiritual adventures in a land rooted in mysticism and culture.

From Delhi to Mumbai, Mystic India travelers will visit an Ayurvedic Treatment Institute and may participate in regular Yoga and Meditation sessions. Guests will also meet with an Astro-palmist and Numerologist, partake in an interactive demonstration with a Naturopathic Doctor and Hypnotherapy practitioner, and cruise the Holy River Ganges.

The Ganges River runs through Varanasi, which is believed to be the cosmic center of the universe. According to Hindu belief, Varanasi is the most sacred place of pilgrimage, the capital of all knowledge, the city of light and the city of liberation. Mark Twain once wrote, “Benares (Varanasi) is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together.”

The cultural aura of Varanasi also envelops the mind, body and soul through its rich music and captivating artwork. Following two days of spiritual cleansing and meditation, SITA clients are then taken to a city of worship famous in its own right, Khajuraho.

Khajuraho is home to a group of temples known for their Tantric exposition illuminated by the Nagara style of architecture used to create elaborate erotic carvings. The most famous of which, Kandariya Mahadev, boasts 84 shikharas (spires built to resemble the Himalayan peaks).

From Khajuraho, the tour continues to Agra where guests will find the most extravagant monument built in the name of love, the Taj Mahal. Shah Jhan, the most prolific builder of the Mughal Emperors, spent 18 years erecting this everlasting palace for his constant companion, his wife who died in 1631.

The final destination on the tour, Jaipur, will captivate the most discerning of travelers. Guests of SITA will attend a lecture on Pranic Healing and Reiki Treatment, pay a visit to the Amber Fort and observe the movements of constellations from the Maharajah’s observatory.

According to Roger Mahal, SITA’s Chairman and CEO, “Mystic India offers our clients a rare insight into the soul of India and the month of November is steeped in festivity, which provides for an excellent opportunity to experience India at its best.”

SITA, with over seven decades of experience as a tour operator, provides luxurious and customized programs to worldwide destinations, including Africa, Australia & New Zealand, China & the Orient, Europe, India, and South America.
