8 Days / 7 Nights

Your culinary exprience will offer a chance to learn more about Peruvian food though different regions of Peru from Peruvian Coastal cuisine to the Andean meals.

Day 1: Arrive Lima
Welcome to Peru! Upon arrival in Lima airport our staff will greet you and transfer you to your hotel.

Upon agreed time, you will have a welcome dinner served at Cala Restaurant which is located in front of the ocean offering a great landscape for a delicious meal.

Day 2: Lima
This tour starts at a local roastery, where they hand-pick the coffee beans daily, for an organic Peruvian
coffee. You will also tour the colonial streets of the bohemian district of Barranco, home to artists, musicians and the city’s top art galleries. You will also try an exotic fruit smoothie made from lucuma at the garden cafe, La Bodega Verde. From here you will visit a traditional market in the San Isidro district to try exotic fruits and local products and learn the ancient myths and legends associated with them. The third stop is one of the city’s top seafood restaurants in the Miraflores district. There you will discover the secrets to the perfect Cebiche and Pisco Sour as you prepare the dish and cocktail yourself with the head chef and bartender. The last stop is for lunch at Huaca Pucllana, a restaurant within a pre-Incan archeological complex – undoubtedly a highlight of tourism in Lima Peru. You will enjoy a variety of gourmet Peruvian dishes as well as four different desserts and another pisco-based cocktail.

Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

OPTIONAL: You can take a Cocktail Class at Hotel B in Barranco, this is a great and funny way to know more about Peruvian beverages and it preparation.

Day 3: Lima - Cuzco flight & drive to Valle Sagrado
At scheduled time our staff will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to the airport to board your flight to Cuzco.

NOTE: Flight should not arrive in Cuzco later than 11:00 AM.

 Upon arrival in Cuzco, our staff will greet you and introduce you into the Sacred Valley and its beautiful landscape. On route, we will make a stop to have lunch served at Wayra Restaurant, where you will enjoy dishes created on the basis of a demanding palate and local ingredients, respecting their freshness, season and quality and accompanied by a Peruvian Paso Horse show. Later on, we will continue to Ollantaytambo Fortress.

You will leave your hotel in the Sacred Valley for the village of Ollantaytambo, with its impressive and eponymous Inca fortress. This is very important historically, as it was here that Manco Inca defeated the Spanish in 1538. Then a climb up steep stone steps to admire the astonishing monoliths that make up the Temple of the Sun. Finally, back to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Day 4: Sacred Valley
A visit to the community of Misminay, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will receive a warm welcome from the locals, including typical dances and music. You will see Andean families at home and share their daily tasks. You can choose to work on the land and learn about local agriculture, or spinning and dying the wool before producing beautiful textiles using traditional techniques. You will also be part of the preparation of “Pachamanca”, a typical dish from the Andes that is prepared in an underground oven as a respect of the Pachamama (Mother Earth).

Day 5: Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu by train
At scheduled time, you will be transferred from your hotel to the train station.

Awaiting you today is by far and away one of the high points in world tourism: Machu Picchu. Your adventure starts on a train ride to the city of Aguas Calientes, where you will disembark and then board a bus that drives you to the actual Machu Picchu archaeological site, where you will meet your guide and have an experience you will never forget. You will discover this New 7 Wonder of the World and UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Later on, you will have a self-served buffet lunch at Sanctuary Lodge restaurant, which is strategically located next to Machu Picchu archeological site, let yourself get involved by the magic of Machu Picchu!

At the agreed upon hour, you will descend to Aguas Calientes and have the rest of the day at your leisure. At your hotel, you will have the chance to be part of Cooking Lessons it offers.

Day 6: Machu Picchu - Cuzco by train
Enjoy this morning at your leisure to make a second visit to Machu Picchu or wander around Aguas Calientes town. At noon, you will have lunch served at your hotel before boarding your return Vistadome train to Cuzco. Upon arrival in Cuzco station, our staff will greet you and transfer you to your hotel.

During the night, you will have dinner served at Cicciolina restaurant, one of the best restaurants in the city.

Day 7: Cuzco
Visit to the city of Cuzco, also called the Imperial City, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The excursion starts at Koricancha temple, an ancient Inca palace and centre of worship of the sun god, on the site of which the Dominicans ordered a church to be built, which survives to this day. Then to the Main Square, where you will visit the cathedral, the most important religious building in the city. The climb continues to Sacsayhuamán fortress, an impressive example of Inca military architecture. Then to Kenko, where the sun, moon and stars were worshipped. Next: a visit to Puca-Pucara, which may have been a "tambo" or rest and lodging place for the Inca. Finally, a visit to the Inka’s Expression art workshop, where you will be able to see artists working in silver, paint and wood -the perfect place to see Andean art.

The experience starts with a visit to traditional open-air San Pedro Market. The San Pedro Market, opened in 1925, is the largest open-air market in Cuzco and to this day vendors continue to bring their products and sell them, as they have for generations. This is a delightful glimpse into Peruvian culture and a great introduction to the regions culinary history and the unique ingredients.  After your market tour you will continue on to Rooftop Kitchen for your Peruvian cooking class. You will have the opportunity to learn to cook exotic, delicious and healthy dishes with Red Quinoa, paprika and other ingredients that are a distinct part of our culture and heritage, but still easy to find anywhere in the world. Our sophisticated, but easy to prepare dishes let you experience rich Peruvian flavors while providing you the expertise to demonstrate your new cooking skills back home. You will take recipes home for the two dishes you prepare, in addition to our famous Peruvian pisco sour cocktail.

Day 8: Cuzco - Lima flight/ Depart Lima
At scheduled time our staff will greet you at your hotel and transfer you to the airport to board your flight to your next destination.
