Tour Overview:

Dynamic yet steeped in tradition, Korea is the epitome of modern Asia. This itinerary offers an overview of Seoul, the fascinating capital city, Gyeongju, the ancient, beautifully preserved former capital and the bustling major sea port of Busan. One of the most beautifully planned and easily to navigated cities in Asia, Taipei reflects sophisticated master planning with just the right patina of Asian style. Beautiful parks, deluxe shopping centers, enticing street markets, authentic restaurants and fascinating museums make this city both a world commerce center and a remarkable cultural hub.

Day 1 - Arrive Korea
Arrive in Seoul this evening. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to the hotel. Founded as the capital of the Chosun Dynasty, Seoul is Korea’s commercial, financial, and political hub.

Day 2 - Seoul Sightseeing
Enjoy a morning city tour of Gyeongbok Palace (built in 1394), the Folklore Museum with its insights into traditional Korean life, the Blue House and the massive Jogyesa Temple. (Tour on Seat in Coach basis). The afternoon is at leisure. (B)

Day 3 - Seoul / Gyeongju
Early morning transfer to the train station to board your express train to Gyeongju, the spiritual and cultural capital of Korea. Gyeongju served as the capital of the Shilla Kingdom, which united the peninsula in 676 AD. Designated by UNESCO as one of the world’s ten most historic sites, it is known as the “Museum Without Walls.” You are met and transferred to the hotel. Your afternoon tour of Gyeongju includes the Bulgulska Temple with its lovely pagodas and bridges, Seogguram Grotto (one of Asia’s most magnificent Buddhist shrines) and the National Museum. (Tour on private basis). (B)

Day 4 - Gyeongju / Busan
In the morning, travel by express bus to Busan (1hr 30 mins), Korea’s main port and second largest city. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Your afternoon tour includes Taejongdae Park with its vast rock outcrops and sweeping sea vistas and the UN cemetery, Jagalchi fish market, the International market and Yongdusan Park. (Tour on private basis) (B)

Day 5 - Busan / Seoul / Taipei
Morning at leisure. Afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight to Seoul. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the International airport for your flight to Taipei, with you previous memories of marvelous Korea. Arrive in Taipei this evening. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred by private car to your hotel. (B)

Day 6 - Taipei
Following breakfast, embark on your half day Taipei city tour to visit Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, the world famous National Palace Museum, Martyrs’ Shrine of Traditional architecture for change of guards’ ceremony, local Taiwanese temple and Taipei Handicraft center. Afternoon is at leisure. (B)

Day 7 - Taipei
Day at leisure to relax and pursue independent activities. (B)

Day 8 - Taipei / Home
Morning transfer by private car to the International Airport for your flight back home. (B)
