Day 1 - Jan 11: Miami – Buenos Aires by LAN Airlines
Depart North America today on the flight to Buenos Aires.
Day 2 - Jan 12: Arrive Buenos Aires
Upon arrival and after clearing immigrations and customs we will be met and transferred to the FOUR SEASONS HOTEL. Enjoy a half-day guided city tour.
Day 3 - Jan 13: Buenos Aires
Take a full day Tigre & Delta tour today, with lunch at the Gato Blanco Restaurant. (BL)
Day 4 - Jan 14: Buenos Aires / El Calafate
Transfer today to the airport for the flight to El Calafate. We will be met upon arrival and transferred to the HOTEL CASA LOS SAUCES. (B)
Day 5 - Jan 15: El Calafate
Today we will take a full day exploration of the Los Glaciers National Park. (B)
Day 6 - Jan 16: El Calafate / Torres del Paine
Drive to Cerro Castillo today. Arrive and check in at the HOTEL LAS TORRES LODGE. (BL)
Day 7 - Jan 17: Torres del Paine / Punta Arenas
This morning take a half-day tour of the Torres del Paine National Park. Later, transfer in a private vehicle to Punta Arenas. Arrive and check in at the HOTEL REY DON FELIPE. (B)
Day 8 - Jan 18: Punta Arenas / King George Island
A flight from Punta Arenas will take us to the Frei Base on King George Island (Southern Shetland Islands).
The flight time is just under than two hours. Once there, we will go around the sides of the Chilean Frei Base & the Russian Base Bellingshausen. We will then head to the shores of the Fildes Bay to embark onto the expedition ship by Zodiac shuttle boats. Overnight on board the OCEAN NOVA CRUISE. (BLD)
Day 9 & 10 - Jan 19 & 20: Onboard
We will navigate our way between the Southern Shetland Islands and the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula, crossing fjords, passing spectacular icebergs and enjoying the company of birds, turtles, penguins, seals and whales along the way. Our adventure will be very active with daily landings by Zodiac boat, together with informative talks and some very enjoyable moments aboard the ship. Overnight on board the cruise. (BLD).
Day 11 - Jan 21: Onboard
We make a last visit to that area and then in the late afternoon our ship heads north to cross the famous Drake Passage and sail towards Ushuaia. (BLD)
Day 12 - Jan 22: Onboard
Observing the wildlife from the external decks of the ship during the voyage we will be able to spot magnificent birds such as albatrosses and petrels amongst other species. Overnight onboard the cruise. (BLD)
Day 13 - Jan 23: Onboard
After passing through the narrow waters of Drake Passage, we get to see Cape Horn. Our ship will then sail to Port Williams, which is located on the Island of Navarino. Here we have some time to tour around before setting sail overnight to Ushuaia (Argentina). (BLD)
Day 14 - Jan 24: Arrive Ushuaia
In the morning we will arrive at Ushuaia Port. We will be met upon arrival and transferred to HOTEL LOS CAUQUENES or similar. This afternoon, take a half-day visit to Tierra del Fuego National Park. (B)
Day 15 - Jan 25: Ushuaia / Buenos Aires
Transfer to the airport this morning for the flight to Buenos Aires. We will be met upon arrival and transferred to the HOTEL FOUR SEASONS. (B)
Day 16 - Jan 26: Buenos Aires / Miami
The day at leisure. Departure transfer later today to the airport for your flight to your onward destination. (B)
