10 Days Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, El Calafate

Tour overview
After touring the highlights of Buenos Aires including the Eva Peron burial site, you’ll journey to an immense working estancia on the Argentine pampas and then on to the aweinspiring glaciers, pristine lakes and vast, wind-swept vistas of South America’s most southern realms.

Day 1 - Arrive - Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires this afternoon. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure.

Day 2 - Buenos Aires - City Tour
Your guided sightseeing tour of Buenos Aires includes a stop at the Plaza de Mayo, where you will find the pink-colored Casa Rosada. See the balcony where Eva Peron and her husband addressed the crowds below. Next, see the Cabildo (town hall) and Metropolitan Cathedral before heading to the districts of San Telmo and La Boca. You will also visit the cemetery of Recoleta, which is the burial site of Eva Peron. Continue along Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world. Finally, stop at Palermo before returning to your hotel. This evening, enjoy dinner at one of Buenos Aires’ excellent restaurants. Experience Argentina’s sensual music, dance and culture during a full tango show. (BD)

Day 3 - Buenos Aires – Estancia – Buenos Aires
Venture out of the city today on a full-day visit to a historic, working estancia in the Argentine pampas—the Great Plains that sweep through hundreds of miles of the country’s heartland. Savor an asado barbecue lunch cooked over an open fire, and witness traditional gaucho riding skills, music and the romantic rural way of Argentine life. (BL)

Day 4 - Depart Buenos Aires - Ushuaia
Following breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight to Ushuaia. Upon arrival, met and transferred to your hotel. (B)

Day 5 - Ushuaia – Tierra del Fuego National Park
After breakfast, embark on your excursion to Tierra del Fuego National Park. This incredible park, offers a beautiful environment. We visit Bahía Lapataia (End of 3 National Route), Lago Roca, etc. Later, we return to Ushuaia to take a Beagle Channel Navigation. During this navigation we visit the Isla de los Lobos (Sea Wolves Island), the Isla de los Pájaros (Birds Island), and the Faro Les Eclareirs (Les Eclareirs Lighthouse). Day 6 - Ushuaia – Lake Fagnano Excursion
Enjoy morning excursion to the north of Ushuaia to visit Lago Escondido (Escondido Lake) and also Lago Fagnano (Fagnano Lake) in the middle of the island of Tierra del Fuego. (B)

Day 7 - Ushuaia - El Calafate
After breakfast, you are transferred to Ushuaia Airport to take your flight to El Calafate. Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.(B)

Day 8 - El Calafate – Full day Perito Moreno Glacier
Enjoy your full day excursion to visit the incredible Perito Moreno Glacier. You can enjoy the incredible experience of this colossus of ice, with enormous blocks of ice falling into the Argentino Lake, with a thunderous crash. Optional activity: minitrekking over the Perito Moreno Glacier.(B)

Day 9 - El Calafate – Upsala and Onelly
Embark on your excursion to visit the three incredible glaciers, Upsala, Onelli and Spegazzini Glaciers. This is a wonderful navigation along the waters of Argentino Lake. You can enjoy icebergs floating around in the lake. (B)

Day 10 - El Calafate – Buenos Aires
After breakfast, transfer to El Calafate Airport to take flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival, connect to your International flight home. (B)
