9 Days / 8 Nights

Day 1 - Arrive Delhi
Arrive in Delhi this evening. You are met upon arrival and escorted to your hotel.

Day 2 - Delhi Sightseeing
Embark on your tour of Old and New Delhi. Visit Old Delhi covering the Red Fort, Raj Ghat, Ashoka Pillar and the mile-long Chandni Chowk bazaar. Afternoon tour New Delhi, drive along Rajpath to view the Parliament House, the President’s House and India Gate. Visit the Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar and Birla Temple. (B)

Day 3 - Delhi / Varanasi
This morning fly to Varanasi (India’s holiest city), located on the sacred Ganges River. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, visit the stupas, ruins and museum at Sarnath, scene of Buddha’s first sermon. (B)

Day 4 - Varanasi / Khajuraho
Enjoy an early morning boat ride on the Ganges and see the beautiful sunrise, followed by a walking tour of the old city. Later fly to Khajuraho, capital of the 9th to 13th century Chandela Dynasty. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to your hotel. Visit the Western group of temples, including Kandariya Mahadev (representing Chandela art at its best). (B)

Day 5 - Khajuraho / Bandhavgarh
Visit the principal Eastern group of Jain temples this morning, more modest and less ornate than the Western Group. This cluster reflects the simplicity inherent in Jainism. Later, drive to Bandhavgarh, which is the home of the white tiger and other species; such as Indian bison, sambar deer, barking deer and blue bull. Spend two days of game viewing and bird watching in these valleys. (BD)

Day 6 - Bandhavgarh Game Viewing
Enjoy morning & afternoon game viewing. (BLD)

Day 7 - Bandhavgarh / Kanha
Enjoy morning game viewing. Then, drive to Kanha and check in at your hotel. Enjoy game viewing again in the afternoon. (BLD)

Day 8 - Kanha Game Viewing
Enjoy morning & afternoon game viewing. (BLD)

Day 9 - Kanha / Nagpur / Bombay
Early morning drive to Nagpur in time to connect to your flight for Mumbai. Upon arrival you are met and transferred to an airport hotel where room will be blocked on day use basis. Later in the evening transfer to the International Airport for your flight back home. (B)
