SOUTH AFRICA
Day 1 - Arrive Cape Town
Upon arrival, you are met and escorted to your hotel.
Day 2 - Cape Peninsula
Drive past Camps Bay, Clifton and Llandudno to Hout Bay. Time for an optional cruise to Seal Island. Drive over Chapman’s Peak to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. See the
penguin colony at Boulders Beach at the Naval port of Simon’s Town before returning to the city. (B)
Day 3 - Walk to Freedom
Visit the District Six Museum, Langa, Tsoga Environment Gardens, an informal spaza shop, a shebeen (pub) and a hostel. Travel to Robben Island by ferry to hear the story of victory over Apartheid and other human rights abuses. (B)
Day 4 - Cape Town / Kruger
Fly to Kruger National Park and proceed to the Jane Goodall Institute – Chimpanzee Eden, for a unique opportunity to see chimpanzees in semi-wild surroundings. Continue to your
hotel which is located on the banks of the Crocodile River. (B)
Day 5 - Kruger National Park
Head into the Kruger National Park for a full day’s game viewing in our closed vehicle. Search for creatures big and small in the magnificent reserve. Return late afternoon in time
to witness a typical African sunset from the hotel’s deck overlooking the Crocodile River. (B)
MOZAMBIQUE
Day 6 - Kruger / Maputo
Depart for Mozambique for an interesting orientation tour covering the historical, cultural and scenic palm-lined beachfront sights of Maputo. A ferry ride across Maputo Harbour
brings us to our lodge located on a beautiful, isolated and relatively untouched area of Africa. (BD)
Day 7 - Mozambique
A full day at this remarkable beach resort, to relax choose from optional activities including scuba-diving, deep-sea fishing, fly-fishing, rock surf fishing or horse riding (own account).
Keep your eyes peeled for wild dolphins and the odd whales and whale sharks known to visit the area. (BD)
Day 8 - Hluhluwe / St Lucia
Visit a local Mozambique orphanage before returning to South Africa. Proceed to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park for an afternoon game drive. This reserve is the oldest in Africa, renowned for its white rhino conservation. Continue to the nearby town of St Lucia for the night. (B)
Day 9 - St Lucia
Visit the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park, for a 2-hour boat cruise on the estuary, home to a huge variety of birdlife, crocodiles and hippo. The afternoon is at leisure for an optional
game drive or snorkeling at the beach at Cape Vidal. (B)
SWAZILAND
Day 10 - St Lucia / Swaziland
Depart early for the second smallest country in Africa – Swaziland. Pass through scenic, mountainous countryside, before arriving at the Ngwenya Mine where a local Swazi guide will fascinate you with its history. Continue to our lodge near the Malalotja Mountain Reserve. (BD)
Day 11 - Swaziland / Mpumalanga / Johannesburg / Depart
Visit the Nsangwini Rock Art – one of the oldest on earth, created by the Khoisan people. Cross back into South Africa, where our tour ends as we transfer to the airport for our flight to Johannesburg and connection to our onward flight. (B)
