Day 1 - Arrive Cairo
Arrive to Cairo, Egypt, where you are met and escorted to your hotel.

Day 2 - Cairo - Pyramids / Memphis / Saqqara
Visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, including the Pyramid of Khufu and the Sphinx. Enjoy a visit to the Solar Boat Museum before we drive to Memphis, once a vast metropolis and capital of the Old Kingdom. Continue to Saqqara, the oldest stone complex in the world, to see the towering Step Pyramid of Djoser, the earliest of all pyramids. This evening enjoy a dinner cruise on the Nile. (BLD)

Day 3 - Cairo - City Sightseeing
Explore the ancient city of Cairo, includ-ing the Egyptian National Museum, Old Cairo, the Citadel, the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali and the colorful Khan el Khalili Bazaar. (BL)

Day 4 - Cairo / Luxor - Nile River Cruise
Fly to Luxor to board the deluxe Nile cruiser, your home for the next four nights as you cruise the majestic and mystical Nile River. This afternoon, tour the Karnak and Luxor temples. This evening, enjoy a Sound & Light show at the temples, followed by an evening of dinner and dancing on board. (BLD)

Day 5 - Nile Cruise - Luxor / Esna
Cross the Nile to the West Bank to the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens. Continue to Esna, the site of a temple dedicated to the ram-headed god, Khnum. (BLD)

Day 6 - Nile Cruise - Esna / Edfu / Kom
A short horse-drawn carriage ride takes you to the temple dedicated to the falcon-headed god, Horus. Sail to Kom Ombo. (BLD)

Day 7 - Nile Cruise - Kom Ombo / Aswan
Visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Kom Ombo before sailing to Aswan. See the High Dam, Old Dam, Granite Quarries and the Temple of Philae. (BLD)

Day 8 - Nile Cruise / Aswan / Abu Simbel / Cairo
This morning, go sightseeing by felucca wooden sailboat) around the botanical gardens on Kitchner Island. Fly to Abu Simbel for a tour of one of the most spectacular and best-preserved temples in the country. Later, fly back to Cairo and enjoy a farewell din-ner and folk show, complete with belly dancer. Day 9 - Arrive Nairobi
Early morning arrive to Nairobi, Kenya, where you are met and escorted to your hotel. Spend the day at leisure in Nairobi. You can choose an optional visit to the Karen Blixen Museum and Giraffe Manor for a view of the rare Rothschild giraffe (additional cost).

Day 10 - Nairobi / Mount Kenya
Travel to your lodge on the flanks of Kenya's highest mountain and secreted deep within her largest forest reserve. Fall asleep to the sym-phony of the African night or sit in stillness and observe the fascinating interplay of the animals as they arrive to drink, bathe, spar and forage around the water hole. Day 11 - Mount Kenya / Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Today we travel to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to the largest Black rhino sanctuary and hosting the Big Five. Our afternoon game drive will visit the chimpanzee sanctuary which also shelters rare and endangered species. (BLD)

Day 12 - Sweetwaters Game Reserve / Masa
Fly across the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara National Reserve, the highlight of any Kenyan safari. Afternoon game drive. (BLD)

Day 13 - Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the Masai Mara, widely considered to be Africa's greatest wildlife reserve. A balloon safari is also available (additional cost). (BLD)

Day 14 - Masai Mara National Reserve / Depart Nairobi
Enjoy one last morning game drive before you bid farewell to safari life. Return to Nairobi by air. Upon arrival, a day room will be provided before transferring to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
